Greetings Friend,

I’ve had a camera in hand since I was a youth, growing up in the rural farmlands of the Midwest United States. Back then it was my dad’s old beige Polaroid that I captured images with, waiting patiently for each exposure to slowly develop before my eyes. I think it was the magic of watching the colors slowly come together to define an image that hooked me on photography. As I got older, (I refuse to grow up), the Polaroid was replaced by a series of point and shoot models, then a 35mm SLR and finally the DSLR's I shoot with now. Regardless of the camera, my passion for taking the pictures never lessened.

I prefer to shoot in HDR and work with high contrast, striking images. I like to tell a story or paint a mood with my images. I will do more "realistic" pieces as well, depending on the factors involved. I am constantly redefining myself as needed and am not afraid to embrace something new if it strikes my fancy. I prefer a laid back shooting environment, but am not willing to sacrifice the professionalism that creating a great piece of work sometimes demands, either.

I also work with HD Time Lapse and video as well.
