With an extensive background in the fashion industry, Emilio O. is fast becoming one of fashion's rising stars. Originally from Nicaragua,, He studied at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising where he majored in Fashion Design. During his time as a student, he established himself as a working professional. From Grammy winners to world renowned models, Emillio’s work extends far beyond design. In 2004, for example, Emillio O. had the pleasure of working as a stylist for Roberto Cavalli's Celebrity runway event. There, Emillio O. had opportunity to work with Oscar winner Halle Berry. In 2006 he was delighted to work with Sheila E. for the Circle of Passion Celebrity Fashion fundraiser. Other contributions that Emilio O. has made include work with Frederick’s of Hollywood (as a fashion Illustrator), Pelle Pelle’s star studded celebrity fashion show (as a back stage producer), and serving as the Chief Designer for actor, Christian Moralde one-person show: Don’t call me Walter!
Emillio O. is also a published artist, with his work appearing in Colors For Modern Fashion published by 9 Heads Media.
His first collaboration as a co-designer debut during LA Mercedes-Benz fashion week for coco Johnsen Spring 2008 women's ready to wear collection. During this time Emillio O. also established him self as a professional fashion photographer creating coco Johnsen's accessories advertising campaign for that same year. In 2008 Emillio O. created art work for Eccentric Symphony, the urban yet luxurious clothing line favored among celebrities such as, Britney Spears, Madonna, Steven Tyler, Richie Sambora, Ashlee Simpson and Nicole Richie to mention a few. His collaboration was a special design project for Angelina Jolie. In 2009 PAPER DOLL a picture Memoir of The 9th Wonder of the world and of former WWF Wrestler "CHYNA" was release and reached the #1 spot at Amazon's best seller list within the Conceptual Arts category. 2010 has been an incredible year, Emillio O. was the winer of Dancing with the Stars" Design a Dance" contest sponsor by Macy's and a women's ready to wear line is currently under development. This year has been one of the most exiting so far and he looks forward to his continued growth in an industry that he loves: Fashion.
