CURRENT WORK:
*I am currently in the process of creating the foundation of a unique charity concept that crosses various media platforms, genres, and creative pursuits. This idea will be released later in 2010 as sponsors are on board. Marketing Images were shot in late December through 10 States across the United States with Model, Nikki Cavelli (MM#1519743) who will be assisting in the Model Selection Process. Please look for Nationwide auditions this Spring.
*On Monday, February 9th, I completed my 9th year as Media Relations Chairman for the PGA Northern Trust Open, won by Steve Stricker and Executive Directed by Lakers and NBA Hall of Fame player, Jerry West.
*I will once again be photographing LA Fashion Week in March.
*I will once again be photographing the Tecate Light Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach (IRL) as well as the "Miss Tecate Light Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Queen."

After a very undesirable 2009, I have put some much undesirable personal drama behind me and am VERY active, ambitious, and focussed on some major creative photo work in various genres!
In early November, I returned from a 3 week trip back to LOS ANGELES having served as "HOUSE PHOTOGRAPHER" for Fashion Week, participated in a Photo Exhibition at Melrose Lightspace on Melrose Avenue, U2 at the Rose Bowl, and Halloween. Much of my recent work is being purchased by many of the designers (ie. Elizabeth Mason and the Valentino Tribute show which closed Fashion Week: http://www.thepaperbagprincess.com/). TFP/CD-I VERY VERY RARELY DO TFP/CD UNLESS “I contact you” about specific concepts or they are extremely unique creative projects of passion. If you currently have a pending verbal or written agreement with me, I will honor continue to honor that agreement (You ALL know who you are).
I HAVE HAD TOO MANY FLAKY MODELS which wastes everyone's professional and valuable time. EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2009: Due to irresponsible models not taking my time seriously, I NOW REQUIRE a $100 Deposit (Check, Pay Pal, or Money Order) to schedule a TFP/CD shoot of any kind. Upon completion of our shoot together, I will hand your check back to you in full UNCASHED. If however, you cancel or flake without a good explanation (ie sickness), your check will be cashed. I'm sorry that a few people have to ruin it for the rest, but this is my strict policy. This requirement should be of no surprise to anyone who has modeled for long.
When TFP/CD is done, it is on my terms (or Production Team's) and my schedule. I reserve the right to deliver finished work when it is logically possible. If you can’t wait, please inquire about my very reasonable rates. All paid work is priority over TFP/CD. All decisions regarding selection of model(s) are by Jack Fleming Photography. Plans and decisions are subject to change at any time for any reason.

Originally from Ohio and Indiana, I based myself in my studio in the Eagle Rock area of Los Angeles for the past 7 years. I have lived here for 14 years. I have played with cameras for 35 years and been professional for roughly 8 years. My college education includes two separate Bachelors Degrees in Advertising and Graphic Design with a minor in Technical Theatre and Lighting Design. I also spent a large amount of time in the dark room with 35 mm film cameras and in the oil painting studios on canvas. My professional corporate background includes 12 years of Merchandising, product development, entertainment licensing (film, TV, sports, and music), marketing, and promotions for several major movie studios, record labels and sports entities. I also spent 5 years as a college recruiter in Indiana, California and Lugano, Switzerland. However, Photography has been the only constant in 35 of the past 40 years.
I grew up shooting 35 mm Canon equipment but switched to professional Nikon equipment when converting to Digital. I love what I do and I love the equipment I have. Many cameras are good and take great photos. However, it’s not always the camera or how expensive your equipment. It is the person BEHIND the Camera and the subject in the image that make for a successful photograph. I truly believe that “composition” is a natural ability and cannot be learned. I have always had that natural ability since I can remember regardless the visual medium.
I am available to travel ANYWHERE and work not only domestically, but internationally. I make a LOT of trips to Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky for family reasons and often schedule photo projects while there. Please note--this is my job. Not a hobby. Therefore I have a business, pay taxes, have overhead, and lead a normal professional life. So, that we are clear on our communication:
*I work by appointment ONLY.
*A one on one consultation (no obligation to work with me following), is required in advance of ANY shoot. I am available weekdays and weekends. Escorts ARE WELCOME during this time ONLY.
*I DO NOT pay models unless a client is paying me. Period!
*If I have approached you to shoot, it's likely because I see something in your look that I feel can benefit your as well as my portfolio or a personal project. I am happy to discuss TF*agreements with you on the condition that I have creative control. I am very easy and agreeable to work with. See other NEW TF* stipulations above.
*If you have approached me about shooting for your book, agency needs, or your own interests, I assume you are inquiring about my "professional" services and abilities.
*My Rates are very reasonable. Please share your needs with me in as much detail as possible. I am happy to provide ideas, advice, or guidance free of charge. I offer discounts to groups or multiple individuals at a time.
*A minimum 50% deposit is required to book any kind of shoot.
*Events booked in under 7 days require a 100% deposit. Deposits under 7 days are non-returnable, but will be credited to a rescheduled shoot if client cancels. A rescheduling fee may be assessed if client cancels. If Photographer cancels, the original agreed upon price will be recognized.
*ESCORTS for safety ARE WELCOME during the initial consultation. However, "so called Managers" are NOT. Managers don't exist in this industry unless you are an AGENT with a licensed and bonded Agency in the State of California (if meeting me in California). Anyone calling themself a "Manager" is usually a boyfriend or a male with possessive qualities. Don't try to convince me otherwise as it will just tell me how unprofessional YOU are.
*ESCORTS DURING SHOOTS are HIGHLY DISCOURAGED for reasons of liability, focus, concentration, and creative pursuits. I am a professional adult and if you are 18+ you should be a professional adult too. For your comfort, I typically have female stylists on my set and limit any male attendance unless it's a professional Assistant, Photographer, or Stylist who has been professionally designated to be there. Escorts "may" be considered on shoots with unique requests ONLY IN ADVANCE.
*ABSOLUTELY NO USE OF ILLEGAL DRUGS or being under the "uncontrollable" influence of any substance on a shoot. What you do in your personal time is not my business, but "when on my time," you will be sober and drug free. I have had enough dealings for a lifetime, with individuals on cocaine and other illegal substances while working in Los Angeles. If a shot or two (or three) of liquor loosens you up for a shoot or keeps you warm on a cold day--that IS absolutely fine-as long as you are in control of yourself. Addiction is not cool on my Set and I'm not your drug counselor.
*If you are under 18 and a Minor, I WILL REQUIRE a Parent or Guardian present during the shoot for accountability, liability, and safety. Any agreements, Model/Medical releases MUST be signed by a Parent or Guardian.
*In any TFP/CD agreement (see above), the model is required to sign a Model Release. All terms are negotiable, but may or may not be agreed upon by Jack Fleming Photography. Jack Fleming Photography also reserves the right to cancel any TFP/CD agreement for any reason at any time in advance of the shoot. Jack Fleming Photography will in his best ability try to reschedule, but reserves the right to not be held accountable if this is not possible in a timely manner or at all.
*Model Releases will require your signature (if 18+) and a Parent's signature if under 18. I will also require to see a Government issued I.D. (ie. Drivers License, State I.D., or Passport) and the I.D. number to make our agreement legal. If shooting nude images, I will need a copy of your I.D. on file. All personal information is kept private by Jack Fleming Photography and not sold or re-distributed EVER for any reason.
*I do not give out full size images unless for promotional usage or a "buy out" at a prior and agreed rate in writing. Headshots are an exception and I will provide a full size image of each look that is ready for mass printing by a printer of your choice, and complete with border and name.
*Upon completion of our shoot, your images will be posted to an online password protected gallery with "proof" watermarks on the images. You will be able to select your favorites.
*Included in your price package, you will be able to select one image from each look for complete color correction and professional touching up. One 8x10 or 9x12 (models) print will be prepared per look. Additional prints and enlargements will be available at an additional charge. Web size proofs from the online gallery will be available to email to yourself.
*I can provide make up and hair styling for additional charges or you may bring your own. If you choose your own make up artist or hair stylist and I have not previously worked with them, I cannot guarantee the outcome of the shoot.
*Experience is never necessary. Confidence and enthusiasm are extremely attractive.
In conclusion, I'm very fun and easy to work with. I love what I do and you will quickly see that. All in all, I am always looking for curious, inquisitive, enthusiastic and interesting looking people to photograph. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask.

My old studio in Eagle Rock, CA on L.A.'s NE side. This is only 1/2 of the 2600 sq ft space. The other half was damaged due to a recent fire next door. I closed this location 6/14/2009 after seven wonderful years!
