Hello ModelURL Community,

ModelURL invites our users and community to contribute your photos to our new Photo of the Week (POTW) contest! The top six most voted photos will be featured on our front page with a link to your ModelURL profile!

There are no limitations on the type of photos you submit (portrait, macro, fashion, glamour, beauty) anything goes! So let your creativity have free reign and please keep it within a PG-13 rating!

And the best thing of all, voting is public. Anyone can vote! So encourage your family, friends, co-workers, and of course the creative industry people to vote for your photo. There are many sources for promotion: Twitter, Facebook, blogs, and on our site as well so spread the word. If you don't want to submit to the contest yourself, you can still participate as a voter!

We do encourage our ModelURL community to shoot new photos to upload and promote for the Photo of the Week contest, and to not grab one from your archives….Not that we have a problem with you doing this or submitting it to the contest, but it makes the contest more exciting!

I was a bit confuesed when my potw entry (leopard) was refused.. when your text here says... "There are no limitations on the type of photos you submit (portrait, macro, fashion, glamour, beauty) anything goes! So let your creativity have free reign and please keep it within a PG-13 rating!" Thats miss leading. You should amend it so it says that or relates to human models and the modeling field of fashion/photography and the human form. The concept of "Anything goes" is not true.

Hello John, I believe what she meant is for no limitations is for human modeling since this site is a Fashion , glamour, and modeling website to start with, not nature, animal or landscape. I believe its kindda off showcasing a landscape or nature or even animal photographs in a modeling website. isn't it? I dont thing its miss leading. Thats just my 2 cents though. I dont thing its miss leading.

The rules say no nudity and "PG-13".....could you elaborate? I've submitted a photo that is clearly a "nude" but yet shows nothing and I've seen other photos submitted that I would define as at least implied nudity. Where are you drawing the line exactly?

Thanks for any clarification you can give.

I noticed you said no logos or type, although i still see almost half the photos up for vote with that on there

I am guilty of the logo(guess I need to read better) and I have to agree with Cyrus about the quality of some of the top picks....WTF not that I think I should be top... there are some with outstanding quality that are being beat by point and shoot stuff

I agree with you Cyrus and Gary. But hey, what can we do right. I guess we can just say may the best contestant win.

1. Be nice: Even if you disagree with someone, you need to keep your tone civil and reasonable.

2. Keep on topic: Please keep discussions relevant to each topic and avoid multiple topic posts.

3. Don't Spam: Show restraint with your posting frequency. We're all doing cool stuff on ModelURL, but if we post about it too much, it can be distracting.

4. Respect the Staff: The entire Community Staff were users once, just like you. We try very hard to answer everyone's questions, so please be cool.
